The best known animals in Antarctica are the penguins, the whales, seals, sea bird and invertebrates. Some of the penguins are the Emperor Penguins, King Penguins, Adelie Penguins, Chinstrap Penguin and the Gentoo Penguin. Some of the seals are the Leopard Seal, Crabeater Seal, Southern Elephant Seal, Southern Fur Seal and the Weddell Seal. Some of the whales are the Right Whale, Blue Whale, Humpback Whale, Minke Whale, Fin Whale, Sperm Whale, and the Killer Whale. Some of the sea birds are the Wandering Albatross, Snow Petrel, Antarctic Skua, Blue Eyed Shag, Giant Petrel, Cape Pigeon, Snowy Sheathbill and the Arctic Tern. Some of the invertebrates are the Krill, Nematode Worms, Mite, Springtail, Rotifer and the Tardigrade.
Emperor PenguinThe emperor penguin is the tallest and heaviest of all living penguin species and is the only warm-blooded animal that has a permanent home in Antarctica.
